Hi, loves!
I have been including primers on my makeup routine recently. I did not really used primers before.
Today, I wanted to make a comparison between the Skin Liar Primer from Elizavecca and the Yolk Primer from Tonymoly.

elizavecca-30ml, 9 USD
tonymoly-25ml, 13 USD
LET US FIRST TALK ABOUT THE ELIZAVECCA PRIMER
After reading the slideshow photos above, I'm pretty sure you've become more interested with this primer like I do!
It claims a lot and comparing the price and the amount you'll get from this product to the tonymoly primer, you can already assume that this primer won.

This is how the primer looks like. It has a peachy tone that turns translucent when applied on to the skin.
It does feels soft on my hand though. It also kinda mattifies my skin a little bit after applying some serums and moisturizers. But the texture is not that silicon-y as it also has a moisturizing property.
It makes my skin matte but not that matte. It also gives a little bit of glow.
For the record, my skin type is combination to oily.
I must say that this primer really works well with my skin type and condition! My makeup does lasts longer but I still get oily throughout the day but not that oily oily since I have a combination skin type. So what I do is I blot the oil using blotting paper and my skin looks good.
When it comes to pore-filling, I must say that it does a pretty good job IF your pores are not that huge. My pores are large. I can see them even without using a magnifying mirror. But then again, this primer is pretty decent for my liking since I am not really doing a full glam makeup look. For everyday makeup, this works good.
A lot of people talks about the packaging and they all say that the packaging is cute and I have to agree. It is cute.
OVERALL: 8/10
Moving on to the Yolk Primer from Tonymoly.
We must have a bigger expectation since this primer costs more than the Skin Liar (and you only get 25 ml of the product).
Egg Yolk primer sounds promising too, right? It should be! It costs 4 USD more for only 25 ml! Call me cheapskate but I'm just being practical.

Anyway, this is how the primer looks like. It kinda reminds me of a smashed yolk actually.
The primer also claims that it will cover uneven areas on your skin and smooth out any fine lines and pores. It also gives the skin a smooth and silky feeling which I must agree because it does feels so soft and silky.
It also mattifies your skin. And when I say matte, it is matte. That's why you should only apply a little amount of this primer on your skin or else your makeup will look cakey. I did that mistake. I was feeling the product (you know, it's texture and packaging is cute) and applied a lot.
I did not get that oily throughout the day wearing this primer. But I must say that I see no difference on my makeup. It's supposed to make my makeup lasts longer. My usual makeup that still looks fine is up to 12 hours. But with this primer, I really don't see any difference that can make me wow.
It works on oily skin but I doubt if it will go well with my gals who are in the dryer side.
When it comes to pore-filling, I must say that it blurs out some but with pores that looks like mine? I think it did a pretty decent job but not that satisfying. There's a lot better primers out there than this one and I should find it!
I am not in love with the product but I also do not hate it.
OVERALL: 7/10
The Elizavecca primer won with a one-point difference. Why? Because of their prices and amount you get.
But it depends on what kind of makeup finishes you want to achieve. If you want a more subtle glow but still mattifies your skin, then go with the Elizavecca ones. If you want a matte matte, then the Yolk Primer from Tonymoly is for you. It also depends on your skin type and skin condition or texture. I personally like skin liar more although I also did not see that much of a difference except make my makeup lasts a slightly bit longer.
I also hate that silicon-y feeling because I feel like it's clogging my pores.
That's all! Thank you for reading!
Xoxo
